Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional. The job holder will be responsible for preparing food for sale following established recipes and helping develop new cooking methods and menu items.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Order food commodities needed as per the menu of the day
- Prepare ingredients and cook different dishes according to recipes in cooperation with kitchen staff
- Position, serve, and garnish food for sale and special functions
- Properly and hygienically store food items at appropriate temperature
- Estimate expected food consumption and requisition for food items
- Clean and sanitize work areas, tools, and other equipment
- Carry out any other duties assigned by the head cook
Minimum Academic Qualifications
- Diploma in Food Production or a related course from a recognized institution
- Basic computer skills and inventory system skills
Required Experience
- At least 2 years of work experience in a similar role
