Compliance Officer at Bank of Africa Kenya Limited

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain regulatory and statutory compliance by keeping abreast of new laws and regulations, and updating compliance policies accordingly
• Monitor AML/CFT/CPF/KYC controls through transaction screening, review of alerts, and escalation of suspicious activities
• Identify emerging compliance risks and provide expert risk advisory guidance to management
• Deliver timely compliance and AML reports to management, group leadership, and regulatory authorities
• Support compliance training initiatives and participate in system testing

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a business-related field from a recognized university
• Minimum 3 years' banking experience in a compliance or risk department
• Proven experience and in-depth knowledge of AML/CFT/CPF and KYC controls
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of CBK prudential guidelines, POCAMLA, Basel Rules, and the Banking Act

Desired Experience

• Experience in correspondent banking
• Compliance certifications such as ACAMS
