This vacancy presents a chance to join a leading organization. ROLE DESCRIPTION In collaboration with the Communications and Partnership the consultant will:

Advise on communications strategy.

Direct outreach to media and coordinate with local, national regional and international media securing media outputs and coverage based on strategy, list of contacts and agreed messaging.

Organize a high-level press conference and media interviews for Nobel laureates and participants of the Rooted & Rising convening, including liaising with the location, taking care of invitations etc.

Provide preparatory briefings on media.

Deliver a media and outreach impact report after the event.

Requirements:

At least 3 years of broad communications experience.

Experience working with the media and strong relationships with local, national, and regional journalists/media.

Fluent in Swahili and English.

Solid understanding of the media landscape in Kenya and the region.

Ability to work autonomously.

Availability to participate in relevant convening activities (such as a press conference) between 1–5 March 2026.

Based in Nairobi.
