About the Role

A prominent medium-sized law firm specializing in various practice areas seeks 2 advocates to join their team. This position offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive legal services across commercial and conveyancing matters.

Core Responsibilities

• Provide legal opinions on property and real estate matters
• Draft conveyancing documents and legal documents
• Prepare and send terms of engagement and estimates of fees and disbursements
• Liaise with clients and key stakeholders including mortgage lenders, estate agents, land valuers, and surveyors
• Oversee client matters before the Lands Registry, Local Authorities, Survey of Kenya, and National Lands Commission
• Provide legal advice on commercial and corporate transactions
• Negotiate, draft, and review commercial contracts and legal documents to ensure proper execution
• Advise clients on legal processes involved in purchasing and selling property
• Conduct due diligence on conveyancing transactions
• Prepare sale agreements, completion documents, and ensure proper registration
• Prepare property lease agreements and ensure timely contract execution
• Assist with due diligence on intellectual property issues related to contracts and transactional matters
• Prepare security documents
• Enhance the firm's client base through effective liaison with existing clients
• Perform additional duties as assigned
