Business Development Officer at OneKitty

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Officer to drive the growth of OneKitty. The ideal candidate will play a key role in expanding our presence in the Kenyan market, with a strong focus on events, strategic partnerships, and brand adoption. This position requires a proactive individual who can identify opportunities, build relationships, and promote OneKitty's products to target markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities for OneKitty across Kenya
• Drive adoption of OneKitty for events, fundraisers, and group contribution activities
• Build and manage strategic partnerships with organizations, churches, event planners, corporates, chamas, influencers, and community groups
• Represent OneKitty at events, activations, and exhibitions to promote the brand
• Create and execute sales strategies to increase platform usage and revenue
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, onboarding them and providing excellent support
• Conduct product demos and presentations to potential partners and clients
• Work with the marketing team to develop promotional material and campaigns
• Track sales targets, prepare weekly and monthly reports, and analyze market trends
• Provide feedback to the product and management teams for continuous improvement

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field (preferred)
• 1–3 years of experience in business development, sales, partnerships, or events management
• Strong networking skills and familiarity with Kenya's events and community space
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
• Ability to work independently and meet ambitious targets

Preferred Experience

• Experience in events marketing, fintech, mobile payments, or digital products
