Business Development Executive, Marine

Position Overview

Join a leading organization in a role focused on achieving sales targets for Marine insurance. You will be responsible for selling Marine insurance products through intermediaries and direct clients, developing and managing these channels, and executing marketing initiatives to support business development.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the implementation of sales strategy for Marine insurance
• Identify and cross-sell on existing intermediated, direct, and partner business opportunities; negotiate and close business deals within company quality guidelines to increase market share
• Expand and maintain marine portal connectivity with partners for business growth
• Ensure credit control policy adherence for all onboarded business
• Provide accurate and competitive quotations for Marine products and ensure timely delivery to intermediaries and prospective clients
• Identify and train warehousing agents, clearing agents, direct clients, and brokers on Marine product offerings
• Explore partnership networks with logistics and shipping partners
• Attend various import and export forums to stay current with sector developments
• Create and conduct proposal presentations and RFP responses; visit potential customers to pursue new business
• Build detailed knowledge of company products and stay informed of market conditions and developments
• Proactively build long-standing relationships with clients and intermediaries across defined territories and the national market
• Monitor client preferences to determine sales focus areas and identify improvement opportunities
• Prepare timely, accurate, and informative sales performance reports to management for decision-making
• Conduct market research and intelligence to improve service delivery to clients
• Manage the quality and productivity of Marine business operations
