About the Role
We are seeking an Automotive Aftersales Trade Developer to drive revenue growth and market expansion across assigned dealerships in the Mlolongo region. This position combines sales execution, customer engagement, market intelligence, and ground marketing to achieve significant business impact in the automotive aftermarket sector.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue Attainment
- Drive sell-out sales (revenue and SKU expansion) across assigned dealerships
- Achieve or exceed dealer revenue targets through proactive planning and performance monitoring
- Monitor conversion rates from the sales funnel
- Collaborate in setting annual sales objectives for the territory
- Ensure adherence to sales policies and procedures, and recommend process improvements
Customer Support
- Support customer engagement through forums, feedback collection, and new product communication
- Maintain adherence to CRM usage and route plans
- Ensure timely escalation of customer issues to the dealer
Reporting and Analysis
- Perform daily collation of target achievement
- Track and analyze monthly trends within assigned markets
- Prepare dashboards for weekly reviews
- Submit regular reports on territory performance, dealer metrics, and action plans
Market Intelligence
- Monitor and report on competitor activities
- Provide customer insights through identification and suggestion of parts or services that will meet customer needs
Market Activation
- Plan and execute ground marketing initiatives including road shows, market storms, and activations
Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Graduate degree or diploma/certificate in automotive or mechanical engineering
- KCSE grade C or above
- At least one year's experience in outdoor sales, marketing, promotions, merchandising, or brand ambassador work
- Understanding of motor vehicle parts and service (added advantage)
