Position Overview

The County Government of Kisumu is seeking dynamic and qualified professionals to join our training team. This is a permanent and pensionable position with 4 posts available.

Compensation and Benefits

• Basic Salary Scale: Ksh 27,900–36,680
• House Allowance: Ksh 3,850–4,500
• Commuter Allowance: Ksh 4,000
• Leave Allowance: As provided in the Civil Service
• Annual Leave: 30 working days
• Medical Cover: As provided by the County Government of Kisumu

Duties and Responsibilities

• Deliver specialized training in accordance with approved curricula and established standards of instruction
• Develop and prepare comprehensive teaching and learning materials, including schemes of work, lesson plans, and instructional aids
• Design, administer, and evaluate examinations and assignments to assess trainees' knowledge, skills, and competencies
• Undertake research and innovation activities under the guidance and mentorship of a senior trainer to enhance instructional content and methodology
• Supervise trainees in the execution of projects, industrial attachments, and practical work to ensure the application of theoretical knowledge to real-world contexts

Requirements for Appointment

• Be a Kenyan Citizen
• Have Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education with a minimum Grade D (Plain) or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
• Have a Diploma in one of the following disciplines:
  • Technical Education (Building Technology/Water Technology – Plumbing)
  • Education/Technical Education (Building Technology/Water Technology – Plumbing)
  • Or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
• Be registered with the Technical Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVET)
• Training in Competency Based Education and Training (CBET) curriculum is an added advantage
