## Title: Area Sales Manager - Fast-Moving Consumer Goods

About the Role

We are seeking a qualified Area Sales Manager to lead our sales operations in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods sector. You will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing a dynamic sales team, and building strong customer relationships across the region.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage organizational sales by developing a comprehensive business plan covering sales targets, revenue goals, and marketing expense controls
  • Execute the sales plan and ensure the team meets established sales goals
  • Set individual sales targets with the sales team and monitor progress
  • Oversee the activities and performance of the sales team, providing ongoing training and development
  • Assist in recruiting, objective setting, coaching, and performance monitoring of sales representatives
  • Develop new marketing avenues and lead generation strategies
  • Equip the sales team through motivation, counseling, and product knowledge education
  • Understand ideal customers and their relationship to our products
  • Develop and cultivate long-term relationships with prospective consumers and related industries to strengthen partnerships
  • Leverage existing networks to expand the company's product reach and repeat business through relationship building and exceptional customer experience
  • Collaborate with team members to coordinate project implementation, ensure effective customer service support, and proactively address customer issues
  • Provide regular feedback to management on market trends, competitive threats, and opportunities for delivering greater customer value
  • Maintain strategic reporting on all sales activities, including prospecting, sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Sales & Marketing or a related field from a reputable institution
  • Minimum 3 years of proven experience in Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG)
  • At least 1 year's experience managing and directing a sales team
  • Excellent spoken and written English communication with the highest standards of professionalism
  • Proficiency in customer relationship management
  • Fast learner with strong drive and motivation
