About the Role
We are seeking an Activation Team Lead to join our telecommunications client. In this role, you will drive channel activation and retailer awareness while ensuring optimal SIM and float distribution. You will focus on visibility and merchandising at point of purchase for SSOs and T-Kash agents across the North Rift region.

Job Purpose
To focus on channel visitations to drive retailer awareness and turnaround on SIMs and float while maintaining visibility and merchandising standards at point of purchase for SSOs and T-Kash agents.
Key Responsibilities
- SSO and Agent Recruitment and Mapping – Identify and recruit agents effectively, targeting mobile money outlets and high-traffic retail stores
- Channel Visitation – Visit SSOs and agents regularly using agreed route plans and beat plans to ensure consistent engagement
- Training and Delivery of Business Tools – Provide all requisite transaction tools at SSO and agent outlets and train SSOs and T-Kash agents on processes
- AML Training and Testing – Train agents on AML compliance and SSOs on KYC processes in relation to SIMREG
- Float and Stock Management – Monitor and enforce the 1.5x stock rule for agents and ensure SSOs maintain adequate SIM stock for new registrations and activations
- Merchandising – Develop and maintain merchandising standards by providing merchandising materials at SSOs and agent outlets
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
- At least 1 year of experience in a sales and distribution role in FMCG or telecommunications
