1:1 Teacher (Individual Student Support) at Woodland Star International School

About the Role

The 1:1 Teacher will provide individualized instruction and support to a student with specific learning needs. You will implement ILP goals, modify instruction as needed, and collaborate closely with classroom teachers, specialists, and parents to promote the student's academic and social-emotional growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver personalized academic instruction aligned with ILP goals
• Adapt classroom materials and teaching methods to meet individual student needs
• Support the student in developing confidence, independence, and social skills
• Monitor, document, and report progress toward academic and behavioral targets
• Maintain open communication with the learning support team and parents
• Foster a nurturing, structured, and positive learning environment

Qualifications and Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor of Education (Special Needs Education) or Bachelor of Education with Special Needs certification
• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience, ideally with individualized or small-group support
• Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and inclusive education
• Compassionate, patient, and adaptable teaching approach
