Warehouse Supervisor at Orchid HR Outsourcing

About the Role

An established company is seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee all warehouse operations for a roofing and construction materials distribution business. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing inventory, coordinating warehouse activities, and leading the warehouse team.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, inventory management, and dispatch of materials
• Manage and train warehouse staff, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures
• Coordinate loading and offloading of materials, ensuring proper handling of products
• Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock counts
• Ensure proper storage conditions for all materials to prevent damage and deterioration
• Implement and maintain health and safety standards in the warehouse
• Coordinate with sales and logistics teams to ensure timely order fulfillment
• Optimize warehouse layout and storage systems for maximum efficiency
• Manage warehouse equipment maintenance and ensure proper functioning of machinery
• Prepare reports on inventory levels, warehouse productivity, and material movement

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in warehouse supervision, preferably in construction or building materials
• Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and warehouse operations
• Experience with heavy materials handling and storage
• Excellent leadership and team management skills
• Understanding of health and safety regulations in warehouse environments
• Proficiency in computer systems and warehouse management software (desirable)
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
• Good communication skills in English
