## Title: Warehouse & Stores Manager
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join Fireside Engineering Group as a Warehouse & Stores Manager in Nairobi, Kenya.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all warehouse operations including receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance
- Lead, train, and supervise warehouse staff; plan and organize staff shifts and schedules
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper stock levels at all times
- Receive and inspect materials upon delivery, verify contents, and store in designated locations
- Conduct periodic comparisons of stock balances with physical quantities
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly warehouse reports; track and analyze warehouse performance metrics
- Advise management of obsolete and slow-moving stocks
- Manage and prepare decommissioning documentation and analysis
- Control access to stores; prevent unauthorized entry and coordinate store department operations
- Maintain accurate records of all receipt, issue, and balance transactions
- Issue and maintain records of available, issued, or needed personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and warehouse safety practices
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Arrange for purchase and regulation of equipment; handle equipment-related correspondence and inquiries
- Assist in cost research and comparisons of various equipment
- Maintain excellent communication with procurement, logistics, production, and finance departments
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management
- 3-7 years of experience in a warehouse setting, including supervisory experience
- Thorough understanding of warehouse procedures and day-to-day operations
- Expertise in inventory management, store keeping, storage methods, and control techniques
- Strong understanding of workplace safety regulations, PPE requirements, and OSHA standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
