## Title: Trade Development Representative - Nairobi
About the Role
Our client, a leading telecommunications provider, seeks to recruit a Trade Development Representative to drive channel growth and retail awareness. In this role, you will focus on retailer engagement to increase SIM and airtime sales while ensuring strong visibility and merchandising standards at point of purchase for Small Scale Outlets (SSOs) and mobile money agents.
Reports To
Area Sales Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Manage identification and recruitment of agents, targeting mobile money outlets and high-traffic retail stores
- Visit SSOs and agents regularly using agreed route plans and beat plans to maintain consistent engagement
- Provide transaction tools and training to SSO and T-Kash agents on operational processes
- Conduct Anti-Money Laundering (AML) training for agents and Know Your Customer (KYC) process training for SSOs related to SIM registration
- Monitor and enforce stock management, including maintaining 1.5x stock rule for agents and ensuring adequate SIM inventory at SSO outlets for new registrations and activations
- Develop and maintain merchandising standards by providing materials and ensuring proper display at SSO and agent outlets
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
- Minimum 1 year of experience in sales and distribution within FMCG or telecommunications sectors
