Technical Assistance for Agri-SMEs at Aceli Africa

About the Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to provide comprehensive technical assistance to agricultural SMEs across the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop a detailed workplan outlining all activities to be performed during the assignment
• Design a program approach and methodology to achieve stated outcomes, incorporating a mixed delivery model including virtual learning (where appropriate), in-person bootcamps/workshops, and one-on-one advisory services covering business strategy, financial management, investment planning, risk management, and governance
• Demonstrate capacity to deliver the program using local, country-based resources in each target country
• Conduct outreach through multiple channels to identify and source agri-SMEs meeting the target profile
• Manage the application process, including developing marketing collateral and an application platform
• Collaborate with Aceli to screen applications and assess applicant motivation and alignment with program objectives
• Consider geographic dispersion of agri-SMEs in selection to optimize program resources
• Adapt program curriculum, approach, and tools to reflect local contexts (such as language) and the specific nuances of selected SMEs, including value chains represented
• Conduct baseline evaluations of selected SMEs using indicators and instruments developed in collaboration with Aceli
• Deliver the technical assistance program, including managing all program communications and logistics for workshops, SME visits, and related activities
• Provide Aceli with real-time analytics on learning progress and SME performance
• Integrate post-training surveys to assess learning adoption, behavioral change, and business outcomes
• Prepare reports as agreed upon with Aceli

Proposal Requirements

Applicants should submit a proposal of 6-8 pages in length that includes:

• Your proposed approach to conducting the assignment, including timeline, assumptions, and any requirements from the Aceli team and partners necessary to meet project objectives
• Demonstrated experience in investment readiness and business development
