## Title: Chemistry Teacher
About the Role
We are seeking a qualified Chemistry teacher to join our institution. This position involves planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons while supporting student development both academically and spiritually.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Chemistry lessons in line with CBE (Competency-Based Education) requirements
- Assess, evaluate, and record learners' academic progress
- Provide remedial support and guidance to struggling learners
- Maintain discipline and a conducive learning environment
- Integrate Christian values in teaching and mentorship
- Participate in co-curricular activities, school programs, and departmental meetings
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians on learners' progress
- Uphold the values and ethos of the Seventh-day Adventist Church
- Perform any other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a Diploma in Education with at least C+ at KCSE (or equivalent) with a C+ (or Credit Pass) in at least two teaching subjects
- Diploma in Education from a recognized Teacher Training Institution (Diploma Teachers who graduated in 2008 or before must have a mean grade of C and C in the two teaching subjects)
- Active registration as a teacher with the Teachers Service Commission
- Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI)
- Kenyan citizen
- Be an Adventist in regular standing with recommendation from your local church pastor
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Education
- P1 Certificate
- At least 1 year's teaching experience
- Training on CBE curriculum
