Solar PV Technician at Safi Power

About the Role

We are seeking a qualified Solar PV Technician to join our team in Nairobi, Kenya. In this position, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of solar photovoltaic systems while ensuring optimal performance and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot solar PV systems, including panels, inverters, batteries, and wiring
• Conduct regular site inspections, preventive maintenance, and detailed diagnostics
• Analyze system performance and prepare technical reports for clients
• Manage spare parts inventory and support new technology evaluations

Required Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Renewable Energy Engineering
• Minimum 1 year of technical experience in the solar industry
• Strong knowledge of DC/AC systems, SLD interpretation, and protection design
• Comfort working on rooftops and willingness to travel for field projects

Preferred Qualifications

• NABCEP certification or other solar PV/electrical qualifications
