Senior Supply Chain Officer at Warehouse Receipt System Council- WRSC

A reputable organization seeks a dedicated individual for this senior supply chain position in Nairobi, Kenya.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Source and invite suppliers through request for quotations
• Prepare procurement plans, local purchase orders, periodic and annual supply chain management reports and returns
• Participate in tender opening and evaluation
• Inspect the conditions of goods received
• Check and verify issue notes and invoices
• Carry out market survey and research
• Reconcile records
• Implement provisions of the procurement manual
• Identify unserviceable, obsolete and surplus stores and equipment for disposal in accordance with laid down procedures and regulations
• Issue stores to users

Mandatory Requirements

• Cumulative six (6) years of professional experience, with at least three (3) years at the grade of Supply Chain Management Officer I or equivalent qualification in a comparable institution
• Bachelor degree in one of the following disciplines:
  • Procurement and Supply Chain Management
  • Purchasing and Supplies Management
  • Supply Chain Management
  • Procurement and Contract Management
  • Logistics and Supply Chain Management
  • Procurement and Logistics Management
  • Or equivalent qualification
• Current membership in a relevant professional body in good standing
• Proficiency in computer applications
• Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results
