Senior Supply Chain Officer at Warehouse Receipt System Council- WRSC

About the Role

The Warehouse Receipt System Council (WRSC) seeks a dedicated Senior Supply Chain Officer to join its Nairobi office. This position plays a critical role in managing procurement operations, vendor relationships, and supply chain processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and invite suppliers through request for quotations (RFQ)
• Prepare procurement plans, local purchase orders, and periodic and annual supply chain management reports
• Participate in tender opening and evaluation processes
• Inspect and verify the conditions of goods received
• Check and verify issue notes and invoices
• Conduct market surveys and research
• Reconcile supply chain records
• Implement procurement manual provisions
• Identify unserviceable, obsolete, and surplus stores and equipment for disposal in accordance with established procedures and regulations
• Issue stores to authorized users

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in one of the following disciplines:
  • Procurement and Supply Chain Management
  • Purchasing and Supplies Management
  • Supply Chain Management
  • Procurement and Contract Management
  • Logistics and Supply Chain Management
  • Procurement and Logistics Management
  • Equivalent qualification
• Minimum of six (6) years of cumulative professional experience, with at least three (3) years in the grade of Supply Chain Management Officer I or equivalent role in a comparable institution
• Active membership in a relevant professional body in good standing
• Proficiency in computer applications
• Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results
