## Title: Senior Research Fellow – Project Coordinator
About This Position
This position offers a great opportunity for career growth in research project management and coordination within the CEMA program at the University of Nairobi.
Qualifications
You must hold one of the following:
- Master's degree in Public Health, Veterinary Medicine, Epidemiology, Clinical Studies, or a related field
- PhD in Environmental Science, Agricultural Science, or a related field
Required Experience
- At least 10 years managing complex, donor-funded health or research projects in low-resource, multi-site settings with a focus on arid and semi-arid regions
- Demonstrated oversight of diverse field teams and cross-functional coordination
- Leadership experience coordinating projects involving multiple stakeholders, including academic institutions, government agencies, local communities, and international donors
- Proven experience coordinating the implementation of field-based research projects
- Demonstrated expertise in zoonotic disease surveillance, outbreak investigation, and health systems strengthening in pastoralist or rural communities
- Experience ensuring compliance with research protocols, ethical standards, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and/or Good Laboratory Practice (GLP)
- Experience overseeing and supporting capacity-building initiatives for local research and health personnel

Preferred Qualifications
