## Title: Sales Associate - Rumuruti

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Agent Network Management

  • Hire, train, and manage a network of commission-based agents to generate leads
  • Promote the opportunity to become a Farm Star agent/promoter in your designated area
  • Recruit, train, and onboard applicants who meet the role criteria
  • Manage agent performance and motivate them to conduct fieldwork and generate quality leads
  • Ensure agents represent the Farm Star brand positively and comply with company policies
  • Organize events and coordinate presence at exhibitions to support agent demand-generation activities

Sales and Demand Generation

  • Prioritize farmers based on purchase potential, planting cycle, and other relevant factors
  • Conduct on-site visits to farmers to pitch products based on their specific needs
  • Educate farmers on product specifications, application rates, and techniques
  • Guide farmers through the trial application process when necessary
  • Identify ideal locations for demo plots with high farmer conversion potential
  • Close sales and coordinate product collection from resellers
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with farmers to ensure repeat purchases

Reseller Relationship Management

  • Maintain close relationships with resellers assigned to your area
  • Train reseller staff on product specifications, benefits, and application rates
  • Coordinate sales between farmers and resellers
  • Ensure resellers maintain optimal product inventory levels
  • Motivate resellers to promote the product through in-store branding and direct sales
  • Ensure resellers pay Farm Star for sold stock within agreed timeframes

Reporting and Communication

  • Provide daily reporting on farmer visits and sales activities
  • Submit weekly reports on performance, customer feedback, insights, and learnings
  • Share field updates and documentation with the team

Key Result Areas

  • Leads generated through farmer visits, events, agents, and other channels
  • Sales conversion rates
