Room Attendant at Emerge Egress Consulting

Role Objective

We are seeking an active and flexible Room Attendant to maintain the highest hygiene and housekeeping standards in guest rooms and public areas of our hotel in Konza.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of guest rooms and public areas to the highest standards of quality and presentation
• Change and make beds with fresh linens
• Clean and sanitize all bathroom fixtures including sinks, toilets, showers, and tubs
• Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and surfaces
• Vacuum carpets or sweep and mop hard floors
• Empty trash and recycling bins and replace liners
• Restock all in-room toiletries, bathroom amenities, and guest supplies
• Check all room equipment (lights, TV, air conditioning) to ensure proper working order
• Promptly report any maintenance issues, damages, or necessary repairs to the supervisor or maintenance department
• Notify the supervisor of any lost-and-found items
• Organize and arrange furniture and decor to ensure a neat, welcoming, and standardized room environment
• Ensure assigned rooms are fully stocked, clean, and tidy by the end of each shift
• Stock the housekeeping cart with necessary linens, cleaning chemicals, and guest supplies before starting the shift
• Coordinate with other departments such as Front Desk and Maintenance to address guest requests and maintain cleanliness standards
• Handle guest complaints and ensure follow-through
• Perform any other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Certificate in Hospitality Management, Catering and Accommodation, or related field
• At least one (1) year of experience as a Housekeeper, preferably in hospitality
