## Title: Restaurant Manager

About the Role

Our client, a restaurant in Nairobi, is seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of daily operations while maintaining exceptional service standards and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage staffing levels to meet operational requirements, maintaining daily staff attendance records in coordination with the HR department
  • Foster a customer-first culture by training employees and holding them accountable for delivering excellent service
  • Achieve or exceed monthly Profit and Loss objectives while assigning individual sales targets to service staff
  • Utilize management information tools and analyze financial reports to identify trends and address performance issues
  • Communicate clearly, concisely, and accurately with the restaurant team, exercising discretion in filtering communications
  • Solicit and act on customer feedback to understand customer needs and local community preferences
  • Handle customer complaints conclusively and ensure effective service recovery at all times
  • Plan and achieve operational excellence using tools including employee rota scheduling, monthly status reports, quarterly business reviews, cash management, and inventory management reports
  • Conduct regular performance assessments, provide constructive feedback, and set challenging goals to improve employee performance in collaboration with the HR Officer
  • Recognize and reinforce individual and team accomplishments through organizational programs and creative recognition methods
  • Manage with integrity and honesty while promoting the organization's culture, values, and mission
  • Plan, identify, communicate, and delegate appropriate responsibilities across the team
