Quality Control Intern

About the Role

Royal Mabati Factory Limited is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Quality Control Intern. The ideal candidate will support the implementation of conformity assessment systems for the inspection and certification of locally manufactured and imported materials, ensuring adherence to approved specifications and high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct constant internal tests against established quality standards
• Ensure 100% material classification accuracy by enforcing segregation of prime sheets from scraps before handover to dispatch team
• Support periodic testing of Royal Mabati products by third-party certification bodies (KEBS)
• Conduct site inspections of customer complaints and develop CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) plans
• Maintain proper records of raw material tests and assessment reports at head office and branch locations
• Analyze and investigate material complaints or reported quality issues to ensure closure in accordance with company guidelines and external regulatory requirements
• Maintain complaint and nonconformance processing through systematic records and tracking systems, including root cause analysis and corrective actions

Education & Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or diploma in Quality Management, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to follow and enforce quality standards
• Strong communication skills to advise production teams and management
• Familiarity with testing procedures and quality documentation (advantageous)
• Ability to maintain records systematically and work with minimal supervision
