Position Overview

We seek experienced professors to provide leadership in the design, development, and implementation of teaching and learning programmes. This role involves developing and implementing research strategies within your area of specialization, mobilizing resources, mentoring academic staff and students, establishing academic-industry collaborations, and championing the dissemination of research outputs and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and lead research partnerships, collaborations, and linkages in your area of specialization at national, regional, and international levels
• Initiate and lead external bids for research funding and consultancies in your area of specialization
• Exercise intellectual and educational leadership within the Institute
• Promote the development of innovative approaches to course design and delivery while ensuring compliance with the Institute's quality framework, educational standards, and regulations
• Identify learning needs of students and design appropriate learning outcomes
• Assess student learning activities, conduct examinations, and provide constructive feedback
• Provide academic leadership by promoting a vibrant and productive academic environment
• Develop laboratory manuals in line with approved curricula in your thematic area
• Supervise students' theses, dissertations, internships, and attachments where applicable
• Mentor teaching and research staff and students in your area of specialization
• Champion the dissemination of research outputs and outcomes in areas of research interest
• Collaborate with stakeholders and industry in technology transfer and commercialization of innovation
