Product Development Officer (Quality Control/Quality Analysis/R&D) at Sheer Logic

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated professional to join our client's team in a Product Development Officer position. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the consumer goods industry with a focus on product development and research.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct consumer research (qualitative and quantitative) and analyze results to identify consumer needs
• Understand product structure and propose and implement product improvements to meet consumer needs
• Understand the machinery used to manufacture products and consult with engineers on equipment modifications to produce desired products
• Understand materials used and select and develop appropriate materials in conjunction with suppliers
• Design and select materials for packaging and cartons
• Understand package printing technology and make appropriate improvement requests to packaging companies in case of printing problems

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or relevant field from a recognized institution
• Minimum of five years of experience in Quality Control or R&D in an FMCG environment
• Ability to generate new product ideas and improve existing ones
• Strong collaborative skills across R&D, quality assurance, marketing, manufacturing, and supply chain teams
• Ability to approach product or process issues analytically and creatively
