## Title: Principal Administration Officer
About the Role
We invite applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Principal Administration Officer at the National Biosafety Authority in Nairobi, Kenya. You will work under the supervision and guidance of a Director, managing critical administrative and facilities operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Control and monitor the use of official motor vehicles by authorizing vehicle movements through work tickets, maintaining accurate transport records, and ensuring regular scheduled maintenance
- Coordinate transport staff and allocate appropriate duties
- Coordinate contracted cleaning staff
- Supervise fuel orders and fuel cards, and prepare monthly fuel consumption reports
- Support staff with office accommodation and space identification
- Provide tools, equipment, and maintain a productive working environment
- Ensure offices and facilities are maintained to the highest cleanliness standards
- Ensure timely provision of tea and drinking water to staff
- Acquire and manage renewal of licenses
- Ensure timely repairs and maintenance of office facilities, equipment, and furniture
- Facilitate prompt payment of electricity, water bills, and other utilities
- Implement systems and procedures for vehicle disposal in consultation with the procurement department
- Maintain and update records of the organization's vehicles and equipment
- Ensure timely renewal of licenses for all vehicles and equipment
- Facilitate prompt settlement of accident vehicle cases
Required Qualifications
Candidates must possess one of the following:
- Master's Degree in Public Administration, Transport Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Office Management, Social Sciences, or a relevant qualification from a recognized institution
- Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration, Transport Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Office Management, Social Sciences, or Education (Arts/Social Sciences) from a recognized institution
