Job Summary

Plan and execute appropriate activities for students each day according to the curriculum, schemes of work, and lesson plans. Assist with curriculum planning by providing safe, creative, and appropriate educational opportunities for all children within an inclusive environment.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences
• Develop schemes of work and lesson plans while establishing and communicating clear objectives for all learning activities
• Keep updated with developments in the subject area, teaching resources, and methods, and make relevant changes to instructional plans and activities
• Prepare the classroom for class activities and use relevant technology to support instruction

Qualifications and Requirements

• Qualified teacher with a P1 diploma
• Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience
• CBC trained (both JSS and Primary)
• Registered by the TSC and issued with a TSC Number
• Ability to teach a combination of activity areas including Creative Arts, CRE, and Social Studies
• Proficiency with key computer applications
• Strong passion for education and young children
• Strong classroom management skills
• Team player mentality with ability to work collaboratively and engage in group problem-solving
