Physiotherapy and Rehabilitative Services Manager

About the Role

Mater Misericordiae Hospital in Nairobi, Kenya is seeking a qualified Physiotherapy and Rehabilitative Services Manager to lead and oversee all operations of the physiotherapy department while ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain standards of patient care to ensure consistent delivery of quality services
• Provide leadership, supervision, and mentorship to physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and support staff
• Develop and implement departmental structures, systems, policies, and procedures to ensure effective operations
• Liaise with the Director of Medical Services to develop realistic budgetary estimates for the budget approval process
• Ensure adherence to approved budgets through prudent spending and effective cost control measures
• Build and maintain a strong team of highly competent and motivated staff performing to established performance standards
• Uphold the highest standards of quality and operational efficiency to achieve high internal and external customer satisfaction
• Ensure integrity, efficiency, and effectiveness of departmental processes, systems, and procedures
• Monitor and report on departmental performance, including attainment of strategic objectives and agreed targets
• Develop and implement systems to ensure adequate and reliable supply of consumables for the department
• Develop equipment specifications and liaise with the procurement department for timely procurement
• Prepare statistical reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis for submission to the medical records section
• Represent the institution in matters of physiotherapy practice and profession
• Oversee and monitor the overall running of the physiotherapy department
• Supervise and allocate duties to physiotherapy staff to ensure effective, efficient, and timely delivery of services
• Communicate the hospital's strategic plan, objectives, policies, and procedures to physiotherapy staff
