## Title: People and Culture Director
Position Overview
A dynamic team is expanding and looking for the right talent to lead our People and Culture function. As People and Culture Director, you will provide strategic direction and leadership to drive organizational excellence through effective people management and culture development.
Main Responsibilities
Strategy and Policy Development
- Provide strategic direction to the organization by restructuring and aligning the People and Culture unit to meet strategic organizational objectives
- Draft policies and procedures across the full HR value chain
- Provide strategic direction, input and advice to all management levels, including the Board, on employee and labor relations matters
- Advise management on legal matters and processes related to people and culture
- Identify and counter potential risks inherent to labor relations and organizational practices
Compensation and Benefits
- Propose and oversee implementation of compensation and benefits programs
- Ensure programs are competitive, equitable, and aligned with organizational financial objectives and employee satisfaction goals
Systems and Procedures
- Develop, operate and maintain effective and efficient systems and procedures relating to people and culture services
- Establish adequate internal control measures to safeguard the organization from financial, legal and reputational liability
- Ensure dispute resolution processes are efficient, effective, consistent and fair
- Ensure disciplinary processes are efficient, effective, consistent and fair
- Regularly review and update policies and procedures
- Communicate and implement agreed policies, practices and systems
Leadership and Coordination
- Provide leadership and direction to the People and Culture function
- Ensure clear focus and coordination of all activities
- Deploy resources effectively with clearly communicated performance standards and objectives
Strategic Focus Areas
- Ensure conditions of service are attractive, competitive and fair
- Support organizational strategy through devising strategic people goals
- Build and maintain an effective people and culture function aligned with organizational objectives
