## Title: Operations Manager

About the Role

We invite applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Operations Manager at Kitengela International School in Nairobi, Kenya.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the provision of an appropriate learning environment that is safe and secure for all stakeholders in the school
  • Monitor and manage relevant workflows, processes, and oversee the effective use of staff and resources within the operational teams
  • Develop appropriate and effective communication strategies with students, staff, and other stakeholders on operational issues
  • Manage and develop a team delivering operational services, monitor relevant budgets, and ensure desired outcomes in operations
  • Develop innovative and effective ways of providing student-focused services
  • Perform and review facilities and premises risk assessments as necessary
  • Oversee the school's facilities, including maintenance, repairs, and security
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness in school operations
  • Manage day-to-day activities of designated non-instructional staff, address all issues affecting the delivery of operations, and provide practical solutions for complaints received
  • Ensure quantitative and qualitative preparation of meals in line with the school's standards and guidelines

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Business Administration, Commerce, Finance, Education, Economics, or any other business-related field from a recognized institution
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in operations management, with at least 3 years at senior management level managing operations of large teams in a fast-paced organization
  • Current membership in good standing with a relevant professional body
