Officer, Business Development at CPF Consulting

Job Purpose

This position is responsible for driving business growth through marketing of all insurance products and supporting the execution of business strategy to achieve set revenue targets while delivering excellent customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify leads and prepare sales pitches for proactive business development
• Conduct regular visits and maintain frequent communication with intermediaries and direct clients to support new product introductions
• Market general and employee benefits products to potential clients
• Seek referrals for new business opportunities
• Cross-sell additional policies to existing account holders
• Develop and maintain tender register with regular progress updates for supervisory decision-making
• Provide information for social media platform updates
• Identify and communicate branding and marketing opportunities
• Assist clients in ensuring timely claims processing
• Support product development to ensure product relevance and market fit
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, insurance, or marketing
• Professional insurance qualifications (ACII or AIIK certification)
• Professional membership with the Chartered Insurance Institute or Insurance Institute of Kenya

Required Experience

• Minimum three (3) years of relevant experience in an insurance brokerage company
• Strong skills in tender preparation and submission
