## Title: Nurse Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a qualified Nurse Manager to provide overall leadership, supervision, and coordination of nursing staff while ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide overall leadership, supervision, and coordination of nursing staff
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality, patient-centered nursing care aligned with hospital policies and clinical standards
  • Plan, organize, and manage day-to-day nursing operations to ensure efficient workflow and optimal resource utilization
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, performance management, and continuous professional development of nursing staff
  • Monitor patient safety indicators and implement quality improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to strengthen communication and care coordination
  • Ensure proper and timely nursing documentation, reporting, and regulatory compliance
  • Enforce adherence to infection prevention and control (IPC) protocols
  • Participate in budgeting, procurement, and inventory management of nursing supplies and equipment
  • Handle patient and family concerns professionally, ensuring excellent customer service
  • Lead audits, accreditation processes, and compliance activities within the nursing department
  • Foster staff mentorship, teamwork, and a positive work environment
  • Promote continuous training, CME participation, and competence development for nursing staff
  • Support hospital leadership in policy development, strategic planning, and change management

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSCN) from a recognized institution
  • Valid practicing license from the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK)
  • Minimum of 5 years clinical experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to manage teams, handle operational challenges, and drive quality improvement
  • Advanced training in management, leadership, or quality assurance (an added advantage)
