Maternity Cover: 1:1 Learning Support Teacher (Individual Student Support) at Woodland Star International School

About the Role

The 1:1 Learning Support Teacher will provide individualized instruction and support for a student with particular learning needs during a maternity cover period. The teacher will implement ILP goals, differentiate instruction where necessary, and work closely with homeroom teachers, Co-Teachers, and parents to ensure continued academic and social-emotional growth for the student.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized instruction tailored to the student's learning needs
• Implement ILP (Individualized Learning Plan) goals
• Differentiate instruction according to student requirements
• Collaborate with homeroom teachers and Co-Teachers on student progress
• Maintain regular communication with parents regarding academic and social-emotional development
• Support continued academic and social-emotional growth

Qualifications and Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor of Education with Special Needs Education or Bachelor of Education with Special Needs certification
• Valid TSC Number (for Kenyan applicants)
• Preferably at least 2 years of teaching experience, either one-to-one or in small groups
