Machine Operator at Adpak International Ltd

Position Overview

This position offers a great opportunity for career growth within our Production Department. The successful candidate will operate narrow web Flexo/Letterpress equipment to produce and convert self-adhesive materials into finished printed products, specifically labels.

Reporting Structure

• Reports To: Production Supervisor
• Supervises: Assistant Machine Operator

Key Responsibilities

• Operate narrow web label printing and converting machines according to daily job schedules, delivering high-quality labels within established timeframes
• Examine job orders to determine specifications including quantities, production times, stock specifications, colors, and color sequences
• Ensure manufactured products meet quality specifications by observing good manufacturing practices
• Reposition printing plates, adjust pressure rolls, and modify machine settings using knobs, hand wheels, and hand tools to achieve desired print quality
• Inspect and examine printed products for print clarity, color accuracy, conformance to specifications, and external defects using appropriate test methods and equipment
• Select and install printing plates, rollers, screens, dyes, and cylinders according to specifications using hand tools
• Clean and lubricate presses and components using oil, solvents, brushes, and rags
• Maintain a hygienic work environment that meets specified hygiene standards and complies with all health and safety requirements
• Communicate relevant information effectively and efficiently to colleagues and Production Supervisors
• Report defective machines promptly to production management to ensure timely maintenance action

Education and Experience Requirements

• Diploma in Printing preferred; other technical qualifications in Mechanical or technical fields are acceptable
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in the printing industry
