About the Role

Kenya Rural Roads Authority is seeking dedicated individuals for two Legal Officer II positions. This is an entry and training grade for Bachelor's Degree holders. Officers at this level work under the supervision of a designated senior officer.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Undertake legal research
• Attend court proceedings
• Prepare legal documents including opinions and pleadings
• Ensure proper filing and storage of legal documents in line with departmental custodial functions
• Assist in ensuring legal and regulatory compliance
• Assist in compiling national values and governance principles reports
• Assist in drafting contracts, leases, and other legal documents
• Input case information into the Case Management System

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Laws Degree from a university recognized in Kenya
• Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Studies from the Council of Legal Education (CLE), or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
• Admission as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya
• Current membership with the Law Society of Kenya
• Proficiency in computer applications
