## Title: Lead Housekeeping - Masaai Mara Hotel

Role Overview

A reputable hotel organization seeks a dedicated Lead Housekeeping professional to oversee daily operations in the housekeeping department. The key responsibility is to ensure the highest standards of hygiene and guest satisfaction are consistently achieved.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily housekeeping activities and ensure rooms and public areas are cleaned to required standards
  • Prepare duty rosters and allocate daily tasks to the housekeeping team
  • Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and report any maintenance issues
  • Handle guest requests and complaints related to housekeeping in a polite and timely manner
  • Participate in hiring, training, and guiding housekeeping staff including room attendants and laundry staff
  • Monitor stock levels and ensure availability of cleaning supplies, linen, and guest amenities by placing orders when needed
  • Coordinate with front office and maintenance teams to ensure smooth room turnaround
  • Ensure staff follow health, safety, and hygiene procedures at all times
  • Maintain housekeeping equipment and ensure proper usage
  • Participate in audits, quality assurance programs, and inspections to ensure brand and regulatory compliance
  • Maintain records such as room status and lost and found items
  • Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Hospitality, Business Management, or related field
  • At least 2 years' housekeeping experience within the hospitality industry
  • Any other relevant professional certification is an added advantage
