## Title: IT Administrator

About the Role

HealthX Africa is seeking a qualified IT Administrator to join our team in Nairobi, Kenya. You will provide comprehensive IT support across our organization, managing infrastructure, systems, and user support to ensure smooth operations across our clinics and digital health platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line IT support across all departments using our helpdesk system
  • Maintain network stability for clinics, headquarters, and remote teams (Wi-Fi, VPNs, failover systems)
  • Troubleshoot VoIP/PBX systems, telehealth platforms, video consultation tools, and hardware/software issues
  • Support new clinic setups, expansions, and virtual clinic deployments
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and compliance in Microsoft 365, Azure AD, and Intune
  • Enforce cybersecurity best practices including multi-factor authentication, endpoint protection, and identity management
  • Maintain access logs, device inventories, and IT documentation
  • Set up and support clinic devices including laptops, routers, medical devices, and digital pharmacy tools
  • Resolve EMR, telehealth, and digital pharmacy system issues
  • Ensure systems remain updated, secure, and compliant
  • Provide feedback to engineering teams and assist in testing new features

Required Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or technical operations
  • Experience with Windows/Linux, virtualization, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure AD, and Intune
  • Familiarity with PBX/VoIP systems and cloud-hosted applications
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across devices, networks, and applications
  • Proactive approach with strong ownership and systems-level understanding
  • Diploma or degree in IT, Computer Science, Networking, or equivalent practical experience

Preferred Skills & Certifications

  • Experience supporting digital health, telemedicine, or clinical systems
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or Azure Fundamentals
