About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join our Internal Audit Function at Simba Corp in Nairobi, Kenya.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide professional audit work, individually or as a team leader, in conducting reviews of assigned organizational activities in accordance with Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Audit and departmental standards
• Prepare and review audit work papers and reports documenting the results of reviews and recommended management actions
• Develop detailed plans for individual audits, including identification of key risks and controls, determination of audit objectives, and development of appropriate audit programs
• Summarize audit findings and discuss with line managers to obtain their comments and agree on action dates
• Participate in reviews of internal controls and standard operating procedures
• Identify potential audit areas and assist with assessing the degree of inherent risk and estimating the time and skills required to complete audit projects
• Assist in the development and execution of a comprehensive audit plan based on risk assessment, management's goals, and objectives
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and make recommendations for improving cost efficiencies
• Participate in interim and annual stock takes
• Perform other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor

Academic Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business field

Professional Qualifications

• CPA Part III or equivalent
• CIA, CFE, or CISA (added advantage)

Experience Required

• At least 3 years in a fast-paced Internal Audit Function
• Knowledge of CAATs and Analytics tools (e.g., Teammate)
• Experience in Manufacturing, Automotive, or Hospitality industries (added advantage)
