## Title: Human Resource Management and Development Officer II

Position Overview

This position offers a great opportunity for career growth within the Kenya Rural Roads Authority. Two posts are available in Nairobi.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Implementing human resource management policies, laws, regulations, procedures and systems
  • Drafting and verification of routine correspondences
  • Processing of salaries, allowances, benefits and final dues
  • Verifying the payroll
  • Collating and analysing training applications
  • Processing employee recruitment, promotion and exit documents
  • Processing of leave applications, sick sheets and sick offs
  • Updating of Staff Medical details, National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) and National Social Security Fund (NSSF) records
  • Maintaining complement control
  • Updating human resource database
  • Collating data on work environment and employees' satisfaction surveys
  • Preparing periodic progress reports

Qualifications Required

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have one of the following:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution

OR

  • Bachelor's Degree in any of the following fields: Public Administration, Sociology, Business Administration or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution, plus a Diploma in Human Resource Management from a recognized institution
