## Title: Head of Security & Loss Prevention

About the Role

MSVL Group is seeking an experienced Head of Security & Loss Prevention to lead comprehensive security operations across our manufacturing and distribution facilities in Nairobi, Kenya. This strategic leadership position requires a qualified professional to develop and implement security frameworks, manage loss prevention initiatives, and oversee security teams across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement security and loss prevention strategies, policies, and standards aligned with company goals and promote a culture of vigilance and accountability
  • Oversee physical security for plants, warehouses, and offices; manage security guards and ensure CCTV and access control systems operate effectively
  • Coordinate with law enforcement and relevant authorities on security matters
  • Identify and reduce risks of theft, pilferage, and stock loss through regular audits, surprise inspections, and corrective measures
  • Lead investigations into theft, fraud, and misconduct; ensure proper reporting and follow-up with relevant authorities
  • Ensure full compliance with security and safety regulations across all facilities
  • Conduct staff training on safety protocols, crisis response, and emergency procedures
  • Build, guide, and assess performance of security teams and contractors
  • Drive continuous improvements through technology adoption and implementation of industry best practices
  • Monitor key performance indicators including loss reduction, response times, compliance scores, and asset protection metrics

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminology, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in industrial or FMCG security management, including multi-site operations
  • Proficiency in access control systems, CCTV, fire safety, and emergency procedures
  • Knowledge of local laws, regulatory frameworks, and modern security technologies
  • Advanced diploma or professional security certification (preferred)
  • Prior background in armed forces or police (advantageous)
