## Title: Head of Business Development – Nairobi
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement an annual Business Development Plan aligned with organizational mission and objectives
- Identify new opportunities across commercial, digital, and donor-funded sectors
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to guide strategy
Revenue Growth & Sales Management
- Lead and mentor sales teams across all SIFA FM stations
- Create innovative advertising, sponsorship, and fundraising packages
- Oversee sales performance, KPIs, digital monetization, and multi-platform revenue generation
Team Leadership & Culture Building
- Build a strong, high-performance business development team
- Facilitate planning, review, and strategy sessions
Financial Management & Risk Oversight
- Manage departmental budgets and ensure revenue targets are met
- Oversee contract management, revenue tracking, and financial reporting
- Identify and mitigate commercial risks
Reporting, Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare timely business, financial, and partnership reports
- Ensure accurate documentation of contracts and sponsorships
- Uphold organizational policies, ethical standards, and confidentiality
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Media Management, or a related field
- Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in business development, sales, or partnerships
- Proven success in media (radio, TV, digital)
- Strong stakeholder management experience across corporates, NGOs, government, and donors
- Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams and drive revenue growth
