## Title: Finance Manager – Machakos, Kenya

About the Role

As Finance Manager at FairChain Coffee Kenya (EPZ) Ltd, you will be responsible for the full financial management of the factory. You ensure accurate reporting, strong financial control, and provide operational insights that support decision-making.

This is a hands-on role in a production environment where finance is closely integrated with operations. You report directly to the Group CFO and work closely with the COO and the local operations team.

This position is ideal for an audit-trained professional who wants to move away from pure audit or reporting and become actively involved in business operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full financial administration of FairChain Kenya
  • Prepare weekly management reports and financial analysis
  • Lead month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow
  • Monitor production costs, margins, and operational performance
  • Ensure compliance with local tax and statutory requirements
  • Support external audits and regulatory reporting
  • Improve financial processes, controls, and reporting structures
  • Work closely with operations to improve efficiency and cost control
  • Supervise and support local finance staff

Required Qualifications

  • CPA-K (Finalist) – mandatory
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
  • 4–6 years of audit or finance experience
  • Experience at an audit firm is strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of the full accounting cycle and financial controls

Experience & Skills

  • Experience in a production or operational environment (advantageous)
  • Proficiency with Odoo ERP (strong advantage); other ERP systems experience required if no Odoo background
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Team player with experience guiding or supervising staff
  • Hands-on approach to work

Position Details

Salary: USD 600 per month (with growth opportunities)

Start Date: Immediate availability or short notice (maximum 2–4 weeks)
