Electrical Maintenance Supervisor - Wheat Milling Plant at MSVL Group

About the Role

MSVL Group is seeking a qualified Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to oversee electrical maintenance operations at our wheat milling plant in Nairobi, Kenya. This leadership position requires a skilled professional with deep expertise in industrial electrical systems, plant automation, and team supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance for motors, drives, control panels, sensors, weighing systems, pneumatic automation systems, and PLC-based controls
• Supervise electrical technicians and ensure all work is performed safely and according to OEM specifications
• Provide hands-on technical guidance and step in for critical tasks to ensure accuracy and reliability
• Collaborate with the mechanical maintenance team to synchronize maintenance of roller mills and utility systems
• Diagnose faults in electrical circuits, VFDs, MCCs, and instrumentation, implementing timely corrective actions to minimize downtime
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, electrical schematic documentation, and compliance logs
• Enforce plant safety standards, including lockout/tagout and electrical safety procedures

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical or Electro-Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of electrical maintenance experience in milling or allied manufacturing industries
• Prior experience working in a wheat milling plant

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong technical knowledge of automation, pneumatic systems, and PLC/SCADA troubleshooting
• Skilled in interpreting electrical diagrams, wiring schematics, and machine manuals
• Analytical and systematic approach to problem-solving
• Safety-conscious mindset with demonstrated commitment to workplace safety
• Strong leadership and mentorship capabilities
• Willingness to provide hands-on support and ensure correct execution of maintenance tasks
