Key Qualifications and Experience Required Skills: , Knowledge, Abilities and Values - A Minimum of a Bachelor of Education degree from a recognized University - Must be registered with the Teachers Service Commission - Minimum 7 years of teaching experience and continuous teaching experience in the field, minimum 3 years' experience as a Deputy Principal/Head of Department/Senior Teacher or in a school leadership role. - In-depth knowledge of the national education curriculum (Competency-Based Education Curriculum) - Strong instructional leadership and curriculum supervision skills - Staff management and supervision, including mentoring and appraisal - Effective communication (oral, written, and interpersonal) - Strategic planning and school improvement planning - Understanding of teaching and learning methodologies and assessment practices - Knowledge of education laws, policies, and regulations - Familiarity with child protection and safeguarding policies
