## Title: Deputy Director, Enterprise Risk Management
About the Role
We are seeking a qualified candidate to join the Kenya Rural Roads Authority as Deputy Director of Enterprise Risk Management. This senior position reports to executive leadership and requires expertise in developing and managing comprehensive risk frameworks across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee all Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) activities across the Authority
- Monitor risk exposure and provide strategic advice to management on identified risks
- Facilitate identification and evaluation of risks in collaboration with business units
- Develop and deliver coaching to management teams on risk response strategies
- Consolidate enterprise-wide risk data and prepare comprehensive risk reports
- Develop risk management strategies for Board approval and oversight
- Develop, maintain, and coordinate implementation of the Authority's Risk Management Policy and Framework
- Conduct awareness and training programs on risk management practices for staff across all levels
- Coordinate and develop disaster recovery and business continuity management strategies
Qualifications and Experience
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics, Economics, Project Management, Monitoring and Evaluation, or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
- Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Risk Management, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Actuarial Science, Project Management, Strategic Management, Monitoring and Evaluation, or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
Professional Experience
- Minimum 15 years of cumulative relevant work experience
- At least 3 years at the grade of Assistant Director, Planning, or in a comparable senior position
Professional Certifications and Memberships
- Professional qualification such as CPA (K), ACCA, CRMA, CRA, CIA, CFE, CRISC, or other relevant and equivalent certification from a recognized institution
- Membership in a relevant professional body in good standing, where applicable
- Completion of a leadership course (minimum 4 weeks) from a recognized institution
