Cybersecurity Manager at National Bank of Kenya

Position Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join our organization. This role is responsible for implementing, upgrading, and monitoring cybersecurity plans, perimeter infrastructure, and systems in line with IT security policies and procedures. The successful candidate will provide effective assurance, protection, and security of Bank systems, business, and customer data while ensuring continuity of business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement plans and actions that ensure the Bank's adherence to CBK regulatory requirements for cybersecurity oversight
• Develop and implement cybersecurity plans, systems, and procedures to secure the Bank's ICT infrastructure and systems
• Implement and monitor IT cybersecurity standards pertaining to ICT devices and systems to ensure infrastructure and system protection, health, and uptime
• Implement and monitor IT cybersecurity standards for business systems and user management, including changes, access, authentication, and systems action logging
• Take action to ensure, correct, or report cybersecurity attacks, destructive or unauthorized access, and maintain continuous protection
• Perform risk assessments and execute tests to sustain and maintain cybersecurity standards for ICT infrastructure and systems, implementing correction measures as needed
• Ensure compliance with Bank policies, procedures, regulatory standards, and guidelines
• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in IT or Business-related field from a recognized university
• Five (5) years of experience in an IT environment in the financial or telecommunications industry
• At least three (3) years of experience in Cybersecurity Management
• Cybersecurity Standards/Management Certification relating to current technologies
• Leadership and management experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) certification
• Project management certification
• Professional banking courses
