## Title: Credit Portfolio Officer
About the Role
K-Unity is expanding its dynamic team and seeking a Credit Portfolio Officer to manage assigned loan portfolios with excellence. This is a one-year renewable contract position based in Nairobi, Kenya, reporting directly to the Branch Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage assigned loan portfolios and maintain portfolio performance
- Conduct thorough due diligence and checks before disbursing facilities and engage clients for post-review assessments when circumstances change
- Perform comprehensive loan analysis by collecting, verifying, and analyzing information to determine borrower qualification, considering personal and entrepreneurial business skills, macro-economic market outlook, and client investment/equity levels
- Examine customer capability and securitization/collateralization through rigorous business and personal checks to determine cash flow capacity and collateral adequacy
- Collaborate with the Credit Manager to review and update risk qualification during credit proposal analysis and throughout the loan lifecycle
- Support due diligence execution at every stage of loan applications to ensure informed decision-making and proper risk qualification
- Critically analyze financial statements and apply financial, commercial, environmental, and social criteria to assess credit risk and provide payment recommendations
- Monitor disbursed loans to ensure compliance and performance
- Maintain continuous client interaction and communication in collaboration with the Business Development Department to enhance relationships
- Ensure efficient collection of outstanding loans to maintain recommended PAR (Portfolio at Risk) levels
- Deliver superior customer relationship management
