Consultant – Client Relations, Public Sector at Liaison Group

About the Role

As a Consultant – Client Relations in the Public Sector, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with government institutions, state agencies, and parastatals. You will drive service excellence and ensure client satisfaction with insurance products while managing complex accounts and identifying business growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain long-term relationships with public sector clients, including government ministries, parastatals, and state agencies
• Identify new business opportunities within the public sector and expand existing accounts through cross-selling and up-selling insurance products and services
• Prepare proposals, tender documents, and bids to support business development initiatives
• Conduct client visits to understand current needs, challenges, and priorities, and analyze information to propose tailored insurance solutions
• Support the sales process by providing necessary documentation such as certificates, travel insurance, credits, additions, and deletions
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and prompt issue resolution
• Assist in the renewal of existing schemes and work to retain clients through excellent service and ongoing communication
• Ensure all activities comply with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies
• Prepare reports and presentations on client performance and communicate key insights to management
• Collaborate with internal departments such as underwriting, pricing, and product development to create and deliver effective solutions

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Business Administration (BCom – Insurance Option), Finance, Economics, or a related field
