## Title: Commercial Officer

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Commercial Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting commercial operations, preparing competitive quotations, driving business growth, and ensuring accurate documentation for client shipments. This position requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to securing and maintaining business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive rate requests and issue timely and accurate quotations
  • Prepare detailed quotes for new business, including service rates, contracts, and legal service agreements, ensuring all terms are agreed upon prior to service commencement
  • Conduct market research and prepare competitive quotations for potential clients
  • Follow up on all issued quotations to ensure conversion and secure new business
  • Ensure accurate preparation and submission of shipment documentation based on cargo type and relevant regulatory requirements
  • Submit weekly and monthly activity reports, or as required by the supervisor
  • Assist in preparing client contracts and ensure timely renewals upon expiry
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing client accounts to grow revenue and strengthen client relationships
  • Market the company and its sister companies to clients and importers to expand commercial opportunities
  • Perform any other related duties assigned by Management

Qualifications & Skills

  • Diploma or Degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing, Logistics, or related field
  • Experience in a commercial, business development, or logistics environment (advantageous)
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and customer relationship management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and professionalism
  • Proficiency in MS Office and general business reporting
